In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken or turkey with breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, crushed pineapple, egg, minced garlic, grated ginger, and teriyaki sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
Mix the ingredients until well blended, being careful not to overwork the meat.
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Using your hands, form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a greased baking sheet.
Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until they are cooked through and golden brown.
In a small saucepan, heat additional teriyaki sauce over low heat until warm.
Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and transfer to a serving dish. Drizzle the warm teriyaki sauce over the meatballs.
Garnish with sesame seeds and fresh cilantro, if desired.
