1tablespooncoconut oil or vegetable oil (for chocolate drizzle)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan with cooking spray or oil.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until well combined.
In another bowl, mix the melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract until fully blended.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
Spoon or pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let the donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
In a small bowl, combine the 1/4 cup of sugar and 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon for coating.
While the donuts are still warm, toss each donut in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
For the chocolate drizzle, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil together in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
Drizzle the melted chocolate over the coated donuts using a spoon or a piping bag for more control. Allow the chocolate to set for a few minutes.
