Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.
Spread the apple pie filling evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the apple pie filling, allowing it to soak in slightly.
In a medium bowl, combine the yellow cake mix with the ground cinnamon, then sprinkle it evenly over the apple mixture in the baking dish.
Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix, ensuring all the dry mix gets moistened.
If you're using walnuts, sprinkle them on top for added crunch and flavor.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
Once out of the oven, drizzle the remaining caramel sauce over the top while it's still warm.
Let it cool slightly before serving, but it's delightful warm or at room temperature.
